The Technical Support Lead of Inflowmatix will:
- Be the first point of contact for our customers. This will include liaising and coordinating the resolution of technical issues with our devices or website, capturing feature requests from customers for product improvement, and providing advice and training on our products.
- Work closely with technical teams within the company (hardware and software) to resolve requests on time, and there will be opportunities to develop your skills in these areas in an open, highly collaborative environment.

Reports to: Operations Lead
Location: This can be a remote or office based role, located in Chilworth near Southampton. From time to time, you will be required to visit customer premises around the UK.
Objectives:
This requires the Technical Support Lead to carry out:
- Management and reporting of a support helpdesk with email and phone contacts to provide efficient engagement with customers
- Troubleshooting and resolving customer issues with our InflowSense™ hardware and InflowNet™ web application
- Training customers on site (when possible) and remotely, on the best use of our products
- Producing and evolving the training material such as helpdesk articles to inform our customers
- Assisting customers in setting up fleet management tools
- Engagement with the development team supporting trials and providing feedback
- Supporting the Return Material Authorisation process (RMA)

- Collaborate with other architects, software developers, data scientists, control engineers and devops engineers thereby providing cohesion for the congruity™ platform.

- Guide data scientists and control engineers in software best practices

arboricity™ is a suite of analytical services offered to the water industry, centred around near realtime, calibrated hydraulic models. This is delivered utilising a cloud platform (congruity™) currently deployed in production on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) using Kubernetes (GKE).
Job Description
Purpose of the Role
The DevOps Engineer role for arboricity™ within Inflowmatix will:
- Be part of the core arboricity™ team and participate in the full agile development lifecycle activities of the team
- Be responsible for the cloud infrastructure and associated code required to run, maintain and monitor the congruity™ cloud platform on the public cloud infrastructures required (initially in GCP but also soon on Azure).
Reports to: arboricity™ Technical Lead
Reportees: None at present
Location: Based working from home although it is expected the role will necessitate travelling to meetup with the arboricity™ team from time to time at a mutually convenient location.
Overnight stays will not be necessary to fulfil this role effectively (save for such team sessions indicated above).
Objectives
The objective for the DevOps Engineer role is to achieve a scalable, robust, secure and responsive infrastructure for our congruity™ platform in one or more public cloud offerings (e.g. GCP as of now plus Azure to follow).
This requires the DevOps Engineer to:
- Familiarise themselves with the infrastructure code and deployments that exist today in our development and production environments on GCP;
- Be part of the agile arboricity™ engineering team and participate in all of its ceremonies;
- Educate and train the non DevOps team members in best practices for delivering a secure and maintainable set of artefacts into the infrastructure of congruity™;
- Look to improve and enhance the platform infrastructure, monitoring and deployments via the CI/CD pipeline that exists today;
- Determine the steps required to consider the equivalent infrastructure deployment of congruity™ into a second public cloud provider (most likely, Azure) as an alternative for our Customers.

Skills and Experience: Essential
- At least 3 years production working with;
- Kubernetes and its core functions and components;
- GCP, especially GKE;
- Terraform;
- Prometheus;
- Kibana;
- Git (especially GitHub).
- Clear and precise production of technical documentation;
- Knowledge of Markdown.
- Communication skills in order to present ideas and to respond constructively to challenges from team peers.

- Amazon cloud services (AWS)
