This partnership was conceived to help water companies develop ‘healthy,’ resilient water networks, and reduce losses, by combining Black & Veatch’s programme management, logistics, delivery and analytics expertise with Inflowmatix’s unique dynamic (near time) pressure sensing technology. The first result of this collaboration is SERENE™, a service offering for the UK water markets that will provide network insights through a district metered area (DMA) Health Index assessment.

The DMA Health Index provides water companies with the foundation for a data and insight driven strategy to understand how and where investment to reduce leakage can be targeted most effectively.
Key Objectives
There are three main objectives: Increase Reliability & Performance, Improve Customer Outcomes and Reduce Leakage

Increased Reliability & Performance
Our 12 feature approach gives a unique view of how assets in a DMA are performing based on a narrative of network behaviour.

Improved Customer Outcomes
The resulting DMA Health Index provides water companies with the foundation for a data and insight driven strategy.

Reduction in Leakage
The outcomes provide a mechanism to understand how and where investment to reduce leakage can be targeted most effectively.
How we achieve these Objectives
There are six easy steps to ensure that we achieve these objectives as indicated within the above illustration.

Systems
We integrate multiple in house and customer systems to collect the required inputs.

Data
Extensive sensor and network data is seamlessly integrated into a single database.

Behaviour
Our integrated solution provides the insights that form a detailed narrative on behaviours.

DMA Health Index
A unique 12 featured application collates behavioural data into a structured multi-variable output.

Insights
Scenario based assessment informs value based recommendations.

Collaborative
Working collaboratively we close the loop on interventions that tangibly improve DMA performance.
